Whistleblowing is the disclosure of information by an employee or worker which relates to some danger, fraud, or other illegal or unethical conduct in the workplace. BitGo Custody MENA FZE is committed to maintaining the highest standards of honesty, openness, and accountability and recognizes that all Directors and other members of staff have an important role to play in achieving this goal.
Employees will usually be the first to know when someone inside or connected with an organization may be doing something improper but may feel apprehensive about voicing their concerns. This may be because they feel that speaking up would be disloyal to their colleagues or the organization itself. Or it may be because they do not think that their concerns will be taken seriously or because they are afraid that they will be penalized in some way. However, BitGo Custody MENA FZE does not believe that it is in anyone's interest for employees with knowledge of wrongdoing to remain silent.
BitGo Custody MENA FZE expects all employees to maintain high standards in accordance with BitGo’s Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct (the “Code of Conduct”) and to report any wrongdoing that falls short of these fundamental principles. It is the responsibility of all employees to raise any concerns that they might have about malpractice within the workplace.
It is impossible to give an exhaustive list of the activities that constitute malpractice but, broadly speaking, BitGo Custody MENA FZE would expect you to report the following:
BitGo Custody MENA FZE has a policy and procedures for whistleblowing included in the Code of Conduct. Under the Code of Conduct, employees are reminded that they may discuss any concerns with their manager, with a member of the People Operations team or the Legal Team at BitGo.
